What is Telehealth?
With nothing more than a computer or smartphone, you can now have face-to-face virtual encounter for certain types of appointments. Most insurance plans now cover Telehealth visits and for those that don’t, we have structured our self-pay fee schedule so that Telehealth visits for existing patients are just $63.93 and $95.88 for new patients. If you have an appointment booked you can access Dr. Gilleons virtual telehealth waiting room here https://GilleonHealth.doxy.me/drgilleon
Is Telehealth Covered by Insurance?
In response to the COVID-19 outbreak, nearly every insurance plan (including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Illinois PPO and Blue Choice) has announced expanded coverage for Telehealth visits. While it solely remains the responsibility of the patient to check with their insurance plan to determine if a Telehealth visit provided by Gilleon Health will be covered, many patients are finding that Telehealth appointments for routine office visits such as medication reviews, illness, and depression/anxiety are covered. Learn more about our Telehealth Billing Policy. Keep in mind, Telehealth isn’t usually a good fit for Preventive Visits because those visits usually require a hands-on physical exam, vaccines, or blood work.
Self-Pay Option
For patients who do not have insurance or for those who do have insurance but feel it’s more convenient to just not use, we’ve taken all the guess work out of the cost. Telehealth visits are just $63.93 for existing patients and $95.88 for new patients.
